After building a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, the Golden State Warriors repeatedly turned the ball over down the stretch to help fuel a late comeback effort from the San Antonio Spurs. However, the Warriors survived, 118-112, in a late thriller on Friday night.

Steph Curry helped the Warriors hold off the Spurs with a game-high 35 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field to go along with six assists and three rebounds in 35 minutes. Curry heated up from beyond the arc, drilling seven 3s against the Spurs.

Dario Saric tacked on 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from deep in 26 minutes off the bench.

In his regular-season debut at Chase Center, rookie Victor Wembanyama, the No. 1 pick, notched 22 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field with nine rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes.

With a win on Friday, the Warriors are still alive in West Group C with a 2-1 record. Golden State will meet the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday for the finale of group play in the in-season tournament.
