NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors dropping rough loss to short-handed Grizzlies

Despite missing Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart and others, the Warriors didn’t have an answer for the shorthanded Grizzlies in the fourth quarter.

While the Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green made his highly anticipated return to the court on Monday night, the Memphis Grizzlies were without five key players: Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke.

Despite facing a short-handed squad, the Warriors couldn’t put the Grizzlies away. After trading buckets throughout the game, the Warriors went into the fourth quarter with a one point lead over the Grizzlies.

In the final frame, the Warriors had no answers for the Grizzlies. Rookies GG Jackson and Jacob Gilyard took over, combining for 13 of the Grizzlies’ 31 fourth-quarter points. While the Grizzlies surged to a late lead, the Warriors went ice cold, scoring only 21 points in the fourth quarter on the way to a rough loss in Memphis.

Behind Jackson’s 23 points off the bench, the Grizzlies notched an upset victory over the Warriors for their fourth win at home of the season.

In his return to the court, Green tallied seven points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field with seven rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Grizzlies.

Following another loss for the Warriors, the NBA community on X, formerly known as Twitter, chimed in with reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on social media on Monday night.
