The Brooklyn Nets came up short at the buzzer against the Dallas Mavericks thanks to a 3-pointer from Spencer Dinwiddie. Despite holding a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter, the Nets proved unable to hold on and lost, with 113-111 being the final score.
With Kyrie Irving ineligible to play, Kevin Durant was the lone superstar on the court for the Nets. He often received double-teams from the Mavericks defense, and Brooklyn was held to just 20 points in the fourth quarter.
It was a big night for Luka Doncic, who finished with 37 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. However, his teammate, Dinwiddie, played a key role with 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists, along with the game-winning shot.
Dinwiddie had converted a game-winning 3-pointer in the Mavericks’ previous outing when they defeated the Boston Celtics on Sunday.
NBA Twitter gave their best reactions to the big shot from Dinwiddie to win the game for the Mavericks at the buzzer.
