The Philadelphia 76ers season came to an end on Sunday afternoon in Boston, and it couldn’t have been an uglier performance by stars Joel Embiid and James Harden in a resounding 112-88 loss.
Jayson Tatum dropped 51 points to send the Celtics to the Eastern Conference finals, as Boston blew the game open in the third quarter, winning the period 33-10.
Embiid was held to 15 points on 5-of-18 shooting, and Harden went 3-of-11 from the field, scoring nine points. Tatum and Jaylen Brown (76 points) combined to outscore the entire Sixers starting five.
