NBA Twitter reacts to short-handed Sixers sweeping Nets in Round 1

NBA Twitter gives its best reactions to the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers sweeping the Brooklyn Nets.

The Philadelphia 76ers secured their first sweep of a seven-game series since 1985 when they knocked off the Brooklyn Nets, 96-88, in Game 4 on Saturday afternoon. They did so despite being without Joel Embiid due to a right knee sprain. They advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals for the third consecutive season.

The Sixers received big contributions from Tobias Harris and Paul Reed. Harris led the way with 25 points on 11-for-19 shooting with 12 rebounds. He was really the only Sixer who could get into an offensive rhythm. Reed had 10 points and 15 rebounds while getting the start in place of Embiid.

Along with those big contributions, the Sixers received 17 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds from James Harden. Tyrese Maxey had 16 points and eight rebounds. Though they combined to shoot 10-for-38, they found ways to contribute. De’Anthony Melton scored all 15 of his points in the fourth quarter.
