NBA Twitter reacts to Lakers’ season opener vs. Warriors

NBA Twitter had a field day after the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors.

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the regular-season opener to the Golden State Warriors, and it wasn’t a good ending.

Though Los Angeles held a solid lead at the end of the first half, Golden State flipped the switch in the fourth quarter and everything came crashing down for the Lakers.

Shots stopped falling, players couldn’t get good looks and missed when opportunities emerged, and defenders couldn’t stop Golden State’s screen-and-slip offense that led to constant ball movement.

Russell Westbrook’s performance will be what everyone notices. The Lakers acquired him to be the third star, but he put up just eight points, five rebounds, four assists, four turnovers and four fouls in his debut.
