Jonathan Kuminga took over on Wednesday evening during the Golden State Warriors’ 132-112 victory against the Atlanta Hawks. The 21-year-old matched Steph Curry with a game-high 25 points against the Hawks.
Yet, Kuminga got to 25 points a bit different than Curry. The Warriors blossoming forward notched 25 points in perfect fashion. The former No. 7 overall pick didn’t miss from the field on Wednesday, scoring 25 points on a perfect 11-of-11 shooting from the field. Kuminga’s only two misses came from the free throw line, shooting 3-of-5 from the charity stripe.
Kuminga’s 11 buckets against the Hawks tied NBA Hall of Famer Chris Mullin for the most shots made in a game without a miss in Golden State history.
Kuminga added nine boards, two assists, two blocks, two rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes off the bench against the Hawks.
Following Kuminga’s historic night, members of the NBA Twitter community weighed in with reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Wednesday evening.
