The Philadelphia 76ers and the Dallas Mavericks met at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night in two different positions. The Sixers have their playoff spot clinched and are focused on contending for a championship.
The Mavericks are on the outside looking in at the play-in tournament despite having Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. They needed a win in the worst way.
The Sixers, with Joel Embiid and James Harden back in the lineup, sent the Mavs to a 116-108 loss, further dimming their fading playoff hopes.
Embiid had 25 points and nine rebounds in a return from a one-game absence. Harden had 15 points on 4-for-14 shooting with 12 assists and four rebounds after a four-game absence. Tyrese Maxey added 22 points. De’Anthony Melton had 17, Georges Niang had 14 and Tobias Harris added 13.
