With the Los Angeles Lakers coming off back-to-back wins, they headed into Friday facing a big game against the Oklahoma City Thunder that had playoff implications.
Both teams had identical records and were tied in the season series 1-1, meaning that the team that won would have a big advantage when it came to attempting to reach the playoffs or the play-in tournament.
The Lakers did their job and came away with a 116-111 win. They were powered by Anthony Davis, who had one of the peak-type performances that people have come to expect from him. He scored 37 points on an incredibly efficient 15-of-21 shooting while devouring 15 rebounds and adding one steal and one assist.
Fans on Twitter gave Davis plenty of credit for his big night.
