Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey came into the league with a couple of important attributes under his belt. He has a maniacal work ethic and a willingness to listen and get better as a basketball player.
Those important characteristics helped him improve throughout his rookie season as he was able to become a much better defender while he was also able to add to his offensive game. All throughout his first NBA season, Maxey was able to learn from his veteran teammates and continue to get to the basket rather than settle for a floater.
Now, as Maxey prepares for his second season, he has been out in Los Angeles working with NBA trainer Chris Johnson as he has been working on his 3-point shot in order to add that to his game. He has been working tirelessly on that shot as he hopes to add to his offensive game and become an able 3-point shooter at the NBA level.
For his work ethic all summer, Johnson gave Maxey a shoutout on Twitter.
It’s almost that time ⏰🤫 @TyreseMaxey Work ethic is different.. Been locked in all summer long 👀 #jushoop pic.twitter.com/mehYKrvg9W

Maxey did shoot 30.1% from deep in his rookie season, but if he can get it back up to around 35% from beyond the arc, it would be a huge help to both him and the team’s offense.
