NBA to stream every Victor Wembanyama, Metropolitans 92 game this season

The NBA announced it will stream every Metropolitans 92 game throughout the regular season and playoffs.

Basketball fans wanting to catch projected No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama in action this season will have the opportunity to do so thanks to the NBA and the French Federation of Basketball.

The NBA announced on Thursday it will stream every Metropolitans 92 game for free throughout the regular season and playoffs on its revamped app. The LNB Betclic ELITE will be the first non-NBA affiliated league to have its games streamed on the app.

The live streams will debut on Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. EDT.

Wembanyama is considered the overwhelming favorite to hear his name called first next year in the NBA draft. He is viewed as perhaps the top prospect since LeBron James with unique size, 7-foot-4, and skills on the court.

The 18-year-old dazzled in front of over 200 scouts and executives this month against Scoot Henderson and the NBA G League Ignite in Henderson, Nevada. He averaged 36.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.5 blocks and two assists in those games.

With Wembanyama dazzling the collective basketball world, several teams are expected to be in the running for the top pick. The tanking efforts this year are thought to top those of past seasons when Zion Williamson, Cade Cunningham and others were available.

The partnership between the NBA and the French Federation of Basketball further highlights the impact of Wembanyama on the sport. He was a relatively unknown prospect prior to this year but will now be front and center on a global scale throughout the season.
