After postponing the 2020 NBA Draft Combine indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, the league is reportedly considering holding the annual scouting event virtually, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The NBA sent teams a list of prospects to vote on for the Draft Combine as they evaluate potentially conducting it virtually. The league office is looking at future dates to hold the Draft Combine, which was postponed indefinitely on May 1.

The Draft Combine was initially set to run May 21-24 in Chicago but will now be postponed until a later date. The Draft itself is still scheduled to take place on June 25 but is widely expected to be postponed, as well.

Teams had called upon the NBA to push the date of the draft back since they are prohibited from hosting workouts with potential prospects. Clubs are permitted to hold virtual meetings with players but cannot view live workout videos.

While the draft has yet to be officially moved, the existing deadlines for early-entry prospects still remain. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft was April 26 and those prospects have until June 15 to withdraw.
