Teams will reportedly be permitted to host 2020 NBA Draft prospects for in-person interviews beginning next month, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The NBA has prohibited teams from meeting in person with prospects due to the coronavirus pandemic. Teams currently can only talk with players virtually for a limited amount of time each week and cannot view live workout footage or prior practices.

The league informed teams this week that the 2020 NBA Draft would be tentatively pushed back from Oct. 16 to Nov. 18. The delay will allow the NBA to finalize plans for a virtual Draft Combine, which is expected to take place regionally at team facilities.

Executives have often prioritized meeting with players in person in order to fully get to know them better. Once teams can begin interviewing players in person, they will still be prohibited from hosting on-court workouts as the league continues to take the necessary precautions surrounding the coronavirus.
