The NBA calendar is being completely rearranged as the league adjusts to the novel coronavirus. With the league going into a suspension on March 11 due to the pandemic, they are set to resume the season in the “bubble site” set at Disney World in Orlando on July 30.
In this case, instead of the season ending in the middle of June, the league is looking to end the season in early October. That changes everything about the upcoming offseason.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the league’s original June draft will be set for October 16 with the early entry deadline set for August 17. The early withdrawal date will be October 6-10.

Free agency will then be set for October 18 at 6:00 p.m. EST and the moratorium date will be October 19-23.
Free agency negotiations will start at 6 PM on October 18, per sources. (Not a minute sooner, or that would be tampering, of course) https://t.co/gFsfDA0BGf

For the Philadelphia 76ers and general manager Elton Brand, they will have to figure out how to best improve the team in a short amount of time. The needs are obvious and at that point, they can narrow down who they are going to target. Considering how fast the offseason will be, they will need to be prepared at a high level.
