Another week has gone by in the 2023-24 season as the trade deadline and the All-Star break draws closer. Both events are in February. Once those dates pass, the season essentially becomes a sprint toward the NBA playoffs as teams position themselves for the postseason.

The Eastern Conference race is heating up. The Boston Celtics lead the pack, but the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks are in the conversation as are the Miami Heat who can never be counted out.

In the Western Conference, while the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves are leading the West, the Denver Nuggets have to continue to be considered the favorites in the West. The Los Angeles Clippers have to be considered as contenders as well.
