NBA playoffs: Tobias Harris scores 22 points for 76ers

Former Vol Tobias Harris has big game for 76ers in playoffs.

Former University of Tennessee basketball player Tobias Harris had a big game Tuesday, helping his team pull even in its NBA Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series.

Harris, the lone former Volunteer still competing in the NBA playoffs, scored 22 points, pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists to help the top-seeded 76ers down Atlanta Tuesday in Philadelphia.

The 76ers dropped the series opener Sunday to the fifth-seeded Hawks, but bounced back with a convincing victory.

Harris also had one steal and two blocks for the 76ers, who darted out to an early 18-point lead. The former Vol started and played 37 minutes.

He was 11-for-19 from the filed and missed his only attempt from 3-point range.

The series, now tied 1-1, shifts to Atlanta for Game 3 on Friday.

Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. EDT and will be televised on ESPN.
