Late clutch free throws by a former University of Tennessee basketball player clinched a playoff victory for Philadelphia at Atlanta in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals.
Former Volunteer Tobias Harris was 4-for-4 from the foul line, making all of his attempts down the stretch in Philadelphia’s, 104-99, comeback win over the Hawks.
Harris recorded 24 points, five rebounds and two assists for Philadelphia. He shared team-high scoring honors with Seth Curry.
Harris was 9-for-20 from the floor and went 2-for-3 from beyond the 3-point arc for the 76ers, who fell behind 29-22 early, facing elimination.
Philadelphia’s victory forced a Game 7 at Wells Fargo Center Sunday.
Tipoff is slated for 8 p.m. EDT and the game will be televised on TNT.
