With the Golden State Warriors punching an early ticket to the offseason after a pair of losses in the Western Conference play-in tournament, Warriors Wire is checking in on former members of Golden State across the 2021 edition of the NBA postseason.

In the conference championship round of the playoffs, the only former member of the Golden State Warriors on the floor is DeMarcus Cousins. The former Golden State center is vying to get to the NBA Finals with the Los Angeles Clippers. To get there, Cousins, Paul George and Terrance Mann will have to go through Devin Booker, Cam Payne, Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns.

Here is a look at how Cousins performed during game four of the Western Conference finals between the No. 2 seed Phoenix Suns and No. 4 Los Angeles Clippers.

Western Conference finals, Game 4: Suns at Clippers (2-1):

After getting on the board with a much-needed win in game three against the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Clippers had the opportunity to even the series in game four at home. However, the Suns responded following their loss in Hollywood.

Devin Booker drove the Suns against the Clippers with 25 points on 8-of-22 shooting from the floor with two rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes. Chris Paul added 18 points on 6-of-22 shooting from the floor with seven assists and four boards. Deandre Ayton tacked on a double-double performance with 19 points and 22 rebounds on the way to a victory for the Suns in game four, 84-80.

Paul George led the Clippers with 23 points on 5-of-20 shooting from the field with 16 rebounds and six assists in 42 minutes.

DeMarcus Cousins checked into the contest late for a pair of free-throw attempts. After hitting his first free throw, Cousins needed to intentionally miss his second attempt to give the Clippers another chance. However, the former Golden State Warriors center didn’t hit the rim on his intentional miss, ending the play.
