With the Golden State Warriors punching an early ticket to the offseason after a pair of losses in the Western Conference play-in tournament, Warriors Wire is check-in in on former members of Golden State across the 2021 edition of the NBA postseason.
In the opening round of the playoffs, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant and Miami Heat forward Andre Iguodala lead a featured group of former Warriors trying to get back to the NBA Finals with new teams. Former Warriors DeMarcus Cousins, Alec Burks and JaVale McGee will also be in action during the 2021 playoffs.

Eastern Conference Round 1, Game 1: Hawks vs. Knicks:
In the first playoff game at the historic Madison Square Garden in eight years, the Knicks battled the Hawks down to the wire. However, with a runner in the final seconds, Atlanta’s Trae Young silenced the fiery crowd in New York.
Young tallied 32 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the floor with 10 assists and seven rebounds in 35 minutes to lead the Hawks past the Knicks in game one, 107-105.
For the Knicks, a former Warrior notched a team-high in scoring against the Hawks. Burks recorded 27 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field with four assists and three boards in 26 minutes off the bench. Burks knocked in a trio of triples on five attempts from long distance.

Recently named Most Improved Player Julius Randle registered 15 points on 6-of-23 shooting from the floor with 12 boards and four assists in 36 minutes.
