On Saturday, the movie trailer for “Space Jam: A New Legacy” was released as the world got its first look at LeBron James in the highly-anticipated sequel to the classic original, which starred Michael Jordan.

The trailer started off with James and his son, Dom, in an elevator arguing about playing the game of basketball. James wants to help him be great at the sport, but Dom doesn’t seem to be all that interested in following in James’ footsteps.

Dom suddenly gets off of the elevator and storms off. James goes to search for him but Dom was snatched up by the villains, led by Don Cheadle. The story from there follows the original, in which James must now play basketball to get his son back.

The movie, which is set for a July 16 release date, is slated to feature several cameos by basketball players. Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard and Diana Taurasi among others will have roles to varying degrees in the film with some of them appearing in the trailer.

With Hollywood getting a preview of the movie, players from around the NBA took to social media to offer their reaction to the new trailer, including James himself.
