NBA players react to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s injury in Game 4

NBA stars react to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s heartbreaking injury against the Hawks in Game 4.

The 2021 NBA playoffs have been marred by injuries to more than a half-dozen superstars, and nearly every team has been impacted in a major way. James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid, Chris Paul and Kawhi Leonard have all been limited and missed crucial time due to injury over the last several weeks.

On Tuesday night in Atlanta, the Hawks’ Trae Young missed a pivotal Game 4 against the Bucks due to a bone bruise.

Disaster struck the Bucks in the third quarter, while Milwaukee trailed Atlanta by 10 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo elevated to contest a Clint Capela alley-oop and hyperextended his left knee upon landing. Antetokounmpo walked off the floor with help from his brother Thanasis, and he later returned to the bench area to support his team. According to an ESPN report, Giannis will have imaging done on the knee on Wednesday. Bleacher Report’s Farbod Esnaashari reports there is fear within the Bucks’ organization that Antetokounmpo may have suffered an ACL injury.
