NBA GMs believe that Sixers acquisition of Seth Curry is underrated

The NBA believes that Seth Curry will be an underrated addition for the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Philadelphia 76ers had an eventful offseason, despite it being so short, as they revamped their roster almost overnight. In the short time that Daryl Morey has been the team’s President of Basketball Operations, he made some bold moves to make sure the team can move forward.

On draft night back on Nov. 18, he made two trades to acquire shooters Danny Green and Seth Curry. In the process, Al Horford and Josh Richardson were sent out and the two new shooters replaced them in the starting lineup.

In a survey performed by NBA.com, they talked to all 30 NBA general managers and Curry received some votes as one of the more underrated acquisitions of the offseason:

What was the most underrated player acquisition?
1. Serge Ibaka, LA Clippers – 15%
2. Steven Adams, New Orleans – 11%
Robert Covington, Portland – 11%
4. Seth Curry, Philadelphia – 6%

Curry shot 45.2% from deep for the Dallas Mavericks in the 2019-20 season and he is a career 44.3% shooter from deep. He shot the ball poorly in the preseason, but coach Doc Rivers is not concerned by that at all as he has a proven track record. [lawrence-related id=40397,40375,40380]
