The NBA G League unveiled over the weekend the new court design for which the Ignite team will use throughout the 2020-21 season at their practice facility in Walnut Creek, California.

Ignite, which was previously informally dubbed the Select Team, features several top high school prospects such as Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd, Jonathan Kuminga and several others. The group is coached by Brian Shaw and has been training ahead of the 2020-21 season.

In addition to Green, Todd and Kuminga, prospects Daishen Nix, Kai Sotto and Princepal Singh, a 6-foot-10 forward from India, also joined the program, which was launched in April to serve as an alternative path for elite prospects wanting to play professionally.

Ignite will eventually be filled in with veteran players as Reggie Hearn, formerly of the South Bay Lakers, will reportedly join the team and help mentor the prospects throughout the season. Hearn averaged 12.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season with the Lakers.

Ignite, which is unaffiliated with any existing NBA G League franchise or NBA team, will participate in exhibition games against other NBA G League teams and international clubs and will play 10-12 games that won’t count against the standings.
