NBA Finals Lakers-Heat Game 3: Scouting Report, How To Watch

The Los Angeles Lakers have sliced up the Miami Heat zone and have shot the 3-pointer more, while still getting rebounds, up 2-0.

LeBron James is in a position he’s never been in before, one of strength in the NBA Finals rather than one of the scrappy underdog. As LeBron and Anthony Davis have dominated the Heat through two games, the Heat have dealt with crucial injuries over the first two games of the series. The Heat showed fight in Game 2 but they didn’t do enough to even the best-of-seven series against the Lakers, which continues Sunday evening in the NBA bubble.

The best news for the Heat, as well as neutral viewers, is that Miami will likely get All-Star center Bam Adebayo back in the lineup in Game 3. The Heat were outrebounded by 18 in Game 1 but they were much stronger in Game 2, only being outrebounded by 7. If the rest of the Heat can continue their commitment to their own assignments and box out, while adding the individual rebounding brilliance of Adebayo, they may even one of the biggest advantages the Lakers have had throughout the playoffs.

LeBron James is in ‘Savage Mode 2’

It seems like LeBron James can’t sleep right now. It would be one thing if we were making it up but he’s showing us that he’s not able to calm down while he’s two wins away from a 4th NBA Championship. Late on Saturday night, he was quoting the final bars said by Morgan Freeman at the end of the song “Slidin” on “Savage Mode II” by 21 Savage and Metro Boomin.

While the Lakers are in a tough spot, LeBron clearly won’t allow them to do anything but stay locked in.
