Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks were leading the Bucks in the third quarter of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals when disaster struck – Young stepped on a ref’s foot by accident and turned his ankle.
With the Hawks up 85-82 in the final minute of the third quarter, Young went back to the locker room to get his ankle taped. And while he eventually returned to the game, he was far from his normal self, Atlanta lost its lead, and lost Game 3 to the Bucks, 113-102.
And just like that this series took a huge turn and seems to hinge on the health of Young. While he did return, his high ankle sprain could limit him going forward, which would crush the Hawks’ chances.
Here’s the play:

Nate McMillan said Trae Young's ankle is sore. Obviously we will have to wait to see how it responds to treatment in the next few days.
