Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are both out with injuries, so they could only sit on the bench in street clothes Thursday night and watch as the Brooklyn Nets lost in ugly fashion to the New York Knicks at the Barclays center.
Many thought KD and Irving, of course, would sign with the Knicks during free agency last summer but instead they decided to go to New York’s other team.
The Nets are 16-14 and are having a decent season considering KD is out all year and Irving has missed considerable time with a shoulder injury.
But NBA Twitter did enjoy seeing the two players looking down while their team trailed the terrible Knicks by 23 points in the third quarter:
