As the NBA presented the Board of Governors its plan to resume the 2019-20 season, the league has reportedly settled on official dates for the Draft Lottery and the Draft, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The 22-team plan to restart the season was approved on Thursday as the NBA will begin playing July 31 at the Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida. The Draft Lottery will be held on Aug. 25 while the Draft will be on Oct. 15.
The expectation was once the league settled on a plan to return to play that a decision would be made on the events surrounding the NBA Draft. While the report by Wojnarowski did not mention the Draft Combine, the annual scouting event is expected to also take place in August.

The updated deadline dates surrounding the NBA Draft, such as the early-entry withdrawal date, will likely come as the NBA schedule becomes set in stone. The NCAA agreed to postpone the June 3 withdrawal date for underclassmen to maintain collegiate eligibility last month after it became clear the NBA Draft would not happen as scheduled on June 25.
As the NBA works to finalize its plans to resume the season, the rest of the offseason events will be rescheduled accordingly and those involved in the process will gain some clarity on how to proceed ahead.
