NBA teams will be relocating to Disney World in Orlando early next week for the start of training camp in the league’s bubble environment as we move toward the season restart on July 30th, but first the league is testing all of the players and staffers who will be participating.
In a statement released on Thursday, the NBA announced that a total of 351 players have been tested for coronavirus since June 23rd, and 25 of those players have tested positive (7.1%). Among NBA staffers, just 10 out of 884 have tested positive.
Those players and staffers who have tested positive will be isolated “until they satisfy public health protocols.” Upon arrival in Orlando, all players and staff will be forced to quarantine in their hotel rooms until they have two negative tests return. Training camp is scheduled to begin on July 9th.
