The arrival of Memorial Day weekend means that summer is unofficially here, three weeks before the season actually begins in late June. The summer is made for ranking college football teams. Our friend Mark Rogers at The Voice of College Football gave his USC ranking after the spring transfer portal window and spring practice, heading into the summer.
Is USC a College Football Playoff team, meriting a top-four ranking right now? Is USC a conference championship-level team, which would merit a top-eight ranking but not necessarily a top-four placement? Is this team good but still flawed enough that it shouldn’t even be in the top 10 or top 15?
