Recruitment

When McBurrows committed on April 24, 2020, it came a surprise to most as he wasn’t on many Michigan fans or media’s radar. Hailing from an elite high school in Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas, though a three-star, McBurrows had offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Florida State and Miami (FL) — meaning: he’s not your average three-star.

He seemed locked into the Wolverines until rumblings came that he would change his commitment, flipping to Miami. That seemed all but imminent, but on signing day, McBurrows surprised, sticking with his original commitment to the maize and blue.

Readiness Level

Could be a year two contributor at corner, immediate factor on special teams.
