The early signing period for the 2021 Texas Longhorns recruiting cycle began Wednesday. Over the next three days, prospects will be submitting their national letters of intent to become the next class of Longhorns to continue their football playing careers on the Forty Acres.
Prior to signing day, head coach Tom Herman and his staff received commits from 18 athletes. According to 247Sports, their class ranking among the nation sat at No. 17. The last three classes finished No. 3, No. 3, and No. 8 from 2018-2020.
Can the Longhorns find a way to get this year’s class into the top 10 once again under Herman? It remains to be seen but as we have seen over the years, never say never.
