Against Louisville, in the quarterfinals of The Basketball Tournament, Nate Sestina had a huge night. Unfortunately for La Familia, when they play again, he won’t be available.
On Friday, La Familia will play the Ohio State alumni team, Carmen’s Crew in the semifinals of the tournament. The winner will play for the million dollar prize on August 4th in Philadelphia.

Sestina recorded 22 points and made 6-of-14 three-pointers when La Familia played The Ville. He was also one of the central characters in the post game near-brawl after flashing “L’s down” in the win, then being spit on by an opposing player.
The reason for Sestina’s absence on Friday was given as “a previously schedule family obligation.” He could return for the final game, if La Familia wins on Friday.
Kentucky fans have gotten behind the alumni team and their run in TBT, and the players have come together in impressive fashion. They’ll be a man down, but they’re certain to give their all to cover for his absence. Big Blue Nation will be rooting for them.
