Predators at Oilers projected goalies

Juuse Saros (2-4-1, 2.75 GAA, .910 SV%) vs. Jack Campbell (4-2-0, 3.89 GAA, .888 SV%)

Saros struggled upon returning from Czechia, going 0-3-1 in his first 4 starts back in North America while allowing 3 or more goals in each game. He’s finally looking like himself again, allowing just 2 goals in each of the past 2 outings, going 1-1 with a .942 SV%.

Campbell has allowed 3 or more goals in 5 of his 6 starts to date, including 5 goals on 36 shots in a 6-5 win at the Chicago Blackhawks last time out on Thursday. He is 3-2-0 with a 3.62 GAA and .895 SV% in 5 home starts so far.

Predators at Oilers picks and predictions

Prediction

Oilers 4, Predators 3

Moneyline

The OILERS (-175) are a little on the expensive side, but you can still play the home side here.

The Predators have received much better goaltending from Saros lately, but Nashville hasn’t shown any signs of being any to put a consistent 60 minutes together since returning from its European road trip.

Puck line/Against the spread

The PREDATORS +1.5 (-175) will keep this one close, as Campbell has been very giving. If Nashville has any advantage in this matchup, it’s in the crease. Saros has been seeing his confidence rise and his GAA lower.

I don’t think Nashville wins, but it has the offense to get to Campbell and make this a close one.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 6.5 (-125), and it’s worth a half-unit play.

Saros has allowed just 4 total goals in his past 2 starts, but Campbell has been very giving with 3 or more goals allowed in all but 1 of his 6 starts. This won’t be mistaken for firewagon hockey, but it won’t be a defensive slog, either.
