After escaping a clear weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway, NASCAR will start the weekend at Sonoma Raceway soon. The forecast at Gateway called for no rain in the forecast. Now, the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series head to Sonoma, which hasn’t had many rain delays in its history. This year’s forecast looks to be up to the same standards.
According to Weather.com, the weather forecast at Sonoma Raceway calls for a high of 82° and no chance of rain on Sunday. This won’t be much different from Saturday, which calls for a high of 80° and a 10% chance of rain. That should allow Saturday to give a good indicator of what’s to come on Sunday afternoon.
NASCAR has been unlucky with the weather lately after the 2024 Coca-Cola 600 didn’t even reach 400 miles before it was called. The Cup Series also saw the Daytona 500 and Busch Light Clash affected, so a clear forecast at Sonoma is always positive. The racing should be exciting and drivers look to drink the wine in California.
