NASCAR’s weather forecast for Michigan International Speedway in 2024

NASCAR’s weather forecast for Michigan International Speedway looks questionable in 2024. Check out the conditions at Michigan on Sunday!

After a crazy weekend of racing at Richmond Raceway, NASCAR will start the weekend at Michigan International Speedway soon. In 2023, the weather was unfortunate as a persistent mist and rain pushed the remainder of the Cup Series race to Monday afternoon. With NASCAR ready for Michigan, the forecast looks eerily similar to last year.

According to Weather.com, the weather forecast at Michigan International Speedway calls for a high of 74° and an 80% chance of showers on Sunday. This is slightly different from Saturday, which calls for a high of 76° and a 70% chance of rain. This is not a great sign for NASCAR, which continues to have issues with the weather in Michigan.

NASCAR will begin its on-track action on Friday, with the ARCA Menards Series race starting at 6:00 PM ET. As of now, Friday is projected to be the best day for racing at Michigan. Hopefully, the weather forecast can clear out as NASCAR looks to take on the two-mile oval in Brooklyn, Michigan. The last two years have been rough, but maybe the third time is the charm.
