After a good weekend of racing at Sonoma Raceway, NASCAR will start the weekend at Iowa Speedway soon. The forecast at Sonoma called for no rain, so NASCAR will look to keep it up. Now, the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series head to Iowa, which is a new date on the calendar, and this year’s forecast looks to be solid on Father’s Day Weekend.
According to Weather.com, the weather forecast at Iowa Speedway calls for a high of 92° and a 20% chance of rain on Sunday. This will be slightly different from Saturday, which calls for a high of 85° and a 40% chance of rain in the morning. As of Thursday, the forecast suggests that NASCAR will be able to get all of the track action in without an issue.
One of the biggest storylines will be the high winds. On Saturday, there will be 18 miles per hour winds, while Sunday clocks in at 20 miles per hour. With the Cup Series race on Sunday night, it may not be as impacted by the winds compared to the Xfinity Series. Either way, NASCAR is ready for a big weekend of racing in Iowa, and everyone is excited about the action!
