NASCAR entered Richmond Raceway riding the momentum from the sport’s first road course race of the year. Last week, the Cup Series saw William Byron beat Christopher Bell at Circuit of the Americas en route to his first victory of the 2024 season. Unlike COTA, Richmond was loaded with controversy after a restart in the NASCAR overtime.
At the end of the night, Denny Hamlin beat Martin Truex Jr. for his second win of the 2024 season at Richmond on Sunday. After a slight overview of the notable moments, here are the NASCAR TV ratings following the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond.
.@FoxTV got 3.310 million viewers for Sunday night's NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond; last year's spring race was on FS1 so there's no direct YOY comparison.

NASCAR and FOX earned 3.310 million average viewers for the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond, with no direct comparison to 2023. Last year, the race was held on FS1 and not on Easter Night, so the circumstances are different for this spring race at Richmond. Overall, it is still a good number for NASCAR and FOX on Easter Night,
Now, the Cup Series is focusing its attention on Martinsville Speedway, as the eighth official weekend of the 2024 NASCAR season will soon be underway.
