NASCAR studs and duds: William Byron steals the show at Texas

Check out a couple studs and duds from the NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series entered Texas Motor Speedway expecting a wild opening race to the Round of 12 and it certainly lived up to the hype. [autotag]William Byron[/autotag] stole the victory after a late restart despite starting on the second row. Byron was able to pass Bubba Wallace and Chase Briscoe after the two got up the race track and pulled away from the competition.

Several playoff drivers didn’t have good days, including Kyle Larson who had the dominant car and wrecked while in the lead. Kyle Busch wrecked at the end of Stage 2 while Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick were involved in a late crash. Overall, it was a crazy event that shows why Texas is a true wild card in the Round of 12.
