The NASCAR Cup Series schedule says the 2024 Daytona 500 is next after the sport completed its qualifying duels on Thursday night. Joey Logano and Michael McDowell didn’t need to race hard as they knew the front row was a lock. Logano will lead the field to the green flag on Sunday afternoon. Behind them, Tyler Reddick and Christopher Bell hold the honors after winning their duels.
As for the open entries, Anthony Alfredo and David Ragan locked in on qualifying speed. The other two spots came down to Thursday night, as Jimmie Johnson locked himself into the Daytona 500 after a last-lap pass on J.J. Yeley. Kaz Grala clinched a spot after beating Ragan and B.J. McLeod. Therefore, Yeley and McLeod are the two drivers going home.
