The Chicago Street Course is next for the NASCAR Cup Series, and Hendrick Motorsports will lead the field to the green flag. [autotag]Kyle Larson [/autotag] won the pole for the Grant Park 165 in Chicago this weekend. Ty Gibbs will join Larson on the front row for Sunday evening’s event. It is Larson’s fifth pole position of the 2024 NASCAR season.
Michael McDowell and Tyler Reddick will follow the two drivers on the second row. Most notably, Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe, Martin Truex Jr., William Byron, and Joey Logano all qualified 20th or worse for Sunday’s event. This occurred as the track provided a tough challenge to competitors, including Corey LaJoie, Josh Berry, Chris Buescher, Harrison Burton, and Brad Keselowski, who wrecked in qualifying.
