NASCAR sets 16-driver playoff grid for the 2024 Cup Series playoffs

NASCAR has set the 16-driver playoff grid for the 2024 Cup Series playoffs following the regular season finale at Darlington Raceway.

The NASCAR Cup Series has finished the 2024 regular season and it was one to remember for a long time. Tyler Reddick claimed the regular season title, while Kyle Larson finished with four victories, which is the most of any driver in the series. Meanwhile, Chris Buescher, Bubba Wallace, and Ross Chastain missed the playoffs after failing to win at Darlington Raceway.

Martin Truex Jr. was able to claim the final playoff spot after outpointing Chris Buescher following Chase Briscoe’s massive victory in the Southern 500. As for other notable drivers who missed the 2024 Cup Series playoffs, Kyle Busch, Michael McDowell, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Austin Dillon all failed to win at Darlington as well.
