NASCAR is set to arrive at Circuit of the Americas for the sixth weekend of the 2024 Cup Series season. It represents the first road course of the new campaign and the only date for the venue. Last year, Tyler Reddick beat Kyle Busch for his first victory with 23XI Racing. Kurt Busch was in the booth to see his former car go to victory lane.
First, the Cup Series needs to qualify for the event at Circuit of the Americas, and track position could be very important. For the first round, the session will be split into Groups A and B. Each group will have 15 minutes to qualify, and the top 5 drivers from each session will advance to the final round. Then, a 10-minute round will decide the top 10 starters. The metric system determines the qualifying order and groups.
