NASCAR garage believes Chase Elliott could struggle in 2024

Some people in the NASCAR garage believe Chase Elliott could struggle in 2024, according to The Athletic’s Jordan Bianchi.

[autotag]Chase Elliott[/autotag] is ready to put the narrative of the 2023 NASCAR season behind him. Last year, Elliott missed seven races due to an injury and suspension that kept him out of the playoffs. The driver of the No. 9 car also failed to win a race. Elliott is expected to bounce back with the new season starting this weekend. At least, that’s what most people think.

According to The Athletic’s Jordan Bianchi, some people within the NASCAR garage believe Elliott will struggle this season. In an anonymous poll by Bianchi, one person said we will “see Elliott and the No. 9 team struggle” because “something is not right.” The poll involved 20 Cup Series drivers, crew chiefs, spotters, team owners, and a team executive.

Elliott must have a strong start or questions about his performance and race team will become more frequent. The Hendrick Motorsports driver is NASCAR’s most popular driver, so he will be in the spotlight. Most people think Elliott is primed for a bounce-back season, but a few in the garage believe he will see more struggles in 2024.
