NASCAR expected to have one international race on Cup Series schedule in 2025

NASCAR is reportedly expected to have one International race on the Cup Series schedule for the 2025 season.

NASCAR hasn’t announced the 2025 Cup Series schedule yet; however, many rumors are flying around lately. The Busch Light Clash is expected to move out of Los Angeles while NASCAR returns to Phoenix Raceway for Championship Weekend. However, one significant detail about the new calendar was recently reported.

According to FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass, NASCAR is expected to have one international race on the Cup Series schedule in 2025. This would be a massive move for NASCAR, which has been bold in scheduling decisions over the last few years. Based on several people publicly linking the Busch Light Clash to Bowman Gray Stadium, this would likely be a points event.

NASCAR has been looking to go north and south of the United States of America, so that would likely suggest Montreal and Mexico City. If NASCAR were to go international in 2025, the most talked about track has been the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. The new NASCAR calendar should hopefully come soon, and it’s expected to feature a big move to an international market.
