NASCAR is fresh off an exciting weekend of racing at Sonoma Raceway, where the sport saw Kyle Larson beat Michael McDowell for his third victory of the 2024 season. Now, the racing series is set for Iowa Speedway. The NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series will participate on track, so let’s take a closer look at the entry lists released for Iowa.
In the Cup Series, there is one significant change compared to usual. David Starr (MBM Motorsports) will join the show as the only open entry. Meanwhile, Kaz Grala (No. 15 for Rick Ware Racing) and A.J. Allmendinger (No. 16 for Kaulig Racing) are the two drivers for the teams with no full-time driver and a charter.

The Xfinity Series has a group of veteran and inexperienced drivers, with Brett Moffitt (Joe Gibbs Racing) and John Hunter Nemechek (Joe Gibbs Racing) coming back for starts. Most notably, Ross Chastain (DGM Racing) and Corey Heim (Sam Hunt Racing) will also return for a start in the Xfinity Series. Overall, no drivers will miss the show with 38 entries at Iowa.
The race weekend in Iowa will begin on Friday, June 14. NASCAR is finally returning to Iowa for its first date since 2019, and everyone is excited to see who can win on Father’s Day Weekend.
