NASCAR is heading to Los Angeles, California, to take on the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum this weekend. It marks the unofficial beginning of the 2024 NASCAR season as an exhibition event. While the Daytona 500 is the season’s first points race, it’s still important to the NASCAR Cup Series drivers as they aim to win one of the sport’s new events.
Josh Berry and Noah Gragson join Stewart-Haas Racing in the new Cup Series field, while Zane Smith and Carson Hocevar drive for Spire Motorsports. John Hunter Nemechek also takes over at Legacy Motor Club, and the same goes for Daniel Hemric in the No. 31 Kaulig Racing entry. Finally, Kaz Grala will drive the No. 15 car for Rick Ware Racing, while Josh Williams runs the No. 16 car for Kaulig Racing.

There may not be points or a playoff berth on the line in Los Angeles; however, it will be refreshing to see NASCAR drivers on the race track for the first time since November. The sport’s 2024 season will be underway soon, and there is a lot to be excited about in the third campaign of the NextGen car.
