NASCAR driver Chris Hacker involved in serious car accident, full recovery expected

NASCAR driver Chris Hacker was involved in a serious car accident on his way to Daytona Beach, Florida. Hacker is in stable condition.

On Wednesday afternoon, [autotag]Chris Hacker[/autotag] was involved in a severe car accident on his way to Daytona Beach, Florida, according to a statement on his X account. A semi-truck hit Hacker head-on after it crossed over the center line. The NASCAR driver was transported to Prisma Health Medical Center and underwent emergency surgery.

Thankfully, Hacker is now in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery despite a CT scan that showed numerous injuries. Hacker will remain in the hospital over the next couple of weeks as he recovers from his accident. The 24-year-old driver was not on the entry list for the NASCAR weekend at Daytona International Speedway.

Hacker competed in the NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series during the 2023 season with a best finish of 12th place at North Wilkesboro Speedway. As of now, Hacker hasn’t announced any plans for the 2024 NASCAR season. He looks forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the race track following his car accident.
