The NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway was supposed to start at 3:13 p.m. ET; however, Mother Nature had another idea. Rain has forced the Cup Series race at Kansas into a rain delay with an undetermined start time. Luckily, Kansas has lights, so NASCAR can wait and run the race at night if needed.
Christopher Bell and Joe Gibbs Racing will lead the field to the green, with Ross Chastain joining him on the front row. The rest of the NASCAR starting lineup at Kansas is available for the AdventHealth 400.
Below, we keep you updated on the start of the AdventHealth 400 in Kansas. When will the Cup Series race start? All updates are in ET.

4:38 p.m.: Steady light rain, preparing for evening race
Still steady light rain. No tba. Would think need an hour to dry after the rain stops. They are preparing for an evening race so would think willing to wait. Normally for a night race wouldn’t want to start much later than 10p ET but haven’t heard if that is plan here. pic.twitter.com/b84NY0STzv
