Earlier this summer, we learned that the Colorado women’s basketball team will be taking on the reigning national champion LSU Tigers in Las Vegas for their season opener. On Monday, it was announced that the Buffs men’s basketball team will also be playing a neutral site game in a big city this upcoming season.
Colorado will take on the Miami Hurricanes in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Brooklyn Showcase. The game is set for noon MT (2 p.m. ET) on Dec. 10 at the Barclays Center.
Miami finished last season as the No. 3 ranked team in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll after putting together a 29-8 campaign. The Hurricanes rolled through the NCAA Tournament before falling to UConn in the Final Four.
Colorado is 1-0 all-time vs the Hurricanes, beating Miami in 1957 by a final score of 73-66.
