Myles Jack named a second-team All-Pro player for PFF’s mid-season roster

Myles Jack has been playing lights out this year and PFF has taken note.

There hasn’t been a lot to go the Jacksonville Jaguars’ way this season, which is evident in their 1-7 record. However, there have been a lot of young individuals on the team who’ve shown promise, and leading the way is probably linebacker Myles Jack.

Ever since the Jags acquired veteran Joe Schobert this summer and moved Jack to the weak-side linebacker position, he’s been the Jags’ best defender this season. He’s always around the ball making a play on it and has frequently found himself garnering double-digit tackles. He’s rarely been out of position, and as a result, he entered the Jags’ bye week as the highest-graded linebacker in the NFL, per Pro Football Focus.

However, the praise from PFF seemingly didn’t stop last week as they also nominated Jack to their All-Pro as a second-teamer this week. The player who received the first-team nod over him was San Francisco’s Fred Warner, who seemingly edged Jack in coverage (which is an area Jack has shined in, too).

As it stands, Jack holds an overall grade of 89.8 and is on the brink of acquiring an elite grade (90 or more). There will be some great opportunities ahead for him to continue his progress as the Jags face some solid teams like the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Cleveland Browns the next few weeks, all of which are rosters with good offenses.
